Griffith Park Observatory Hike
WOAR board member Terri West will lead this moderate hike which offers panoramic views of the city!
Sunday, July 27
Terri West will lead the group on this moderate 2.5 mile loop on Brush Canyon Trail to the Observatory. You'll enjoy spectacular views of the Hollywood Sign and the LA Basin. Optional picnic at the Fern Dell Picnic Area after the hike. If interested, plan on bringing your picnic lunch and leaving in a cooler in the car. Dogs on leash are welcome. Stay for lunch and conversation at Happy Trails Cafe immediately following the hike.
Directions: You can use the address of the Trails Cafe in your online map program for specific directions:
2333 Fern Dell Drive, Los Angeles 90068
From the intersection of Los Feliz and Fern Dell Blvd, drive north on Fern Dell about 0.3 mile, cross a narrow bridge (immediate after the bridge Red Oak Drive comes in from the left), through an open street gate and notice parking places long the road on the right. We will meet directly in front of Trails Cafe.
Any problems or questions, please call Terri on her cell at 323.445.6275
About our hikes and outings: Please arrive promptly at the start time. We will always allow for a 15-minute grace period for check in and intros. Our leaders usually arrive early, but if you don't see the WOAR leader, please call the phone # listed in the write-up. Thank you!

CLAMBAKE: 30 Years of Women's Week in Provincetown from Andrea Meyerson on Vimeo.
This is another story I am passionate about sharing and preserving. There are very few lesbian events that have been around for 30 years. This one got into my heart about 17 years ago when I brought a group from Women On A Roll (WOAR) here for the first time. I have been back with WOAR 15 times and it continues to be my favorite lesbian event!
